SCPM precision CNC machining workshop producing custom OEM metal parts

Manufacturing Your Imagination

An Engineer-Led OEM Machining Shop in Zhejiang

SCPM is run by a small team of UK-trained mechanical engineers and machinists with over a decade on the floor building precision rotating equipment. We machine shafts, housings, and OEM parts to ±0.005 mm tolerances for industrial customers worldwide.

Our Origin

Built on a Rotating Equipment Manufacturing Background

Years before SCPM, the same team machined parts for Kelexi’s own dry-screw vacuum pump line — the parent shop in Zhejiang, founded in 2016. When you cut a rotor, a housing, or a sealing face for a pump that has to hold a vacuum, a 0.01 mm drift on a sealing surface is not a paperwork issue — it is a leak path on the customer’s plant.

That history shapes how we read a drawing. A tolerance callout tells us where in the assembly that feature has to seal, align, or carry a load. When a print looks aggressive for the function, we flag it. When it looks loose for what the part has to do, we flag that too.

SCPM was set up in May 2026 as the contract machining arm for OEM customers in the dry-screw vacuum pump, blower, and screw compressor industries. Kelexi sells its own pump products; SCPM machines parts for other OEMs — two separate channels, no overlap on your end product. The shop floor and the engineering team are the same.

Who We Are

SCPM is a small engineer-led team. The engineering side is UK-trained mechanical engineering plus applied CFD research from an ongoing PhD program. The shop side is a handful of machinists with over a decade on dry-screw rotors, housings, and tight-tolerance rotating components.

In practice the engineer who reviews your drawing is also the one who chooses the routing and signs off the first article. Manufacturing risks get flagged at RFQ, not after the first chip flies. Inspection reports go out with the parts when you ask for them.

What We Run

  • Mazak Integrex e-650H and i-300 multi-tasking turn-mill centers
  • 3-axis VMC and 4-axis HMC milling, up to a 1,050 × 920 × 990 mm envelope
  • CNC turning and precision grinding cells for shafts and sealing surfaces
  • Serein METERS 122210 CMM (Hexagon Group) in a 20 ± 2 °C controlled room

Timeline

May 2026

SCPM is set up as the contract machining arm for OEM customers in the dry-screw vacuum pump, blower, and screw compressor industries. Kelexi keeps making its own pumps; SCPM machines parts for other OEMs — separate channels, no end-product overlap.

2020

Teemo Xu joins Kelexi as a mechanical engineer, working dry-screw rotors, housings, and sealing surfaces alongside the machinists on the floor. The years on those parts are where the SCPM precision standard came from.

2016

Kelexi Power Equipment, the parent shop, is founded in Zhejiang. The shop floor machines parts for Kelexi's own dry-screw vacuum pump line — rotors, housings, sealing surfaces, where a 0.01 mm drift on a sealing face is the difference between a working pump and a leaking one.

How a Job Runs Through Our Shop

Most of the parts we machine are first articles or low-to-mid volume runs where one ambiguous tolerance can stall a whole assembly. The practice below is what we do to keep the print and the route in agreement before the first chip flies.

The same engineer who reviewed your drawing stays on the part through routing, first article, and inspection. There is no sales filter between you and the shop floor.

  • 01

    Upfront Drawing Review

Every drawing goes through an engineer before the quote is written. Manufacturing risks, material grades, and inspection points get flagged at RFQ — not after the first article comes off the machine.

  • 02

    Locked Routing

Routings are fixed at quote time. Setups, fixturing, and in-process probing follow what was agreed, so the 100th part comes off the same way as the first article.

  • 03

    CMM-Verified Inspection

Critical features are verified on the Serein METERS 122210 CMM (Hexagon Group) in a 20 ± 2 °C controlled room. Dimensional reports ship with the parts when you ask for them.
