Material Review Support

Can't Find Your Exact Material Grade?

Material standards drift between regions and suppliers. ASTM A105 forgings, DIN C45E, and JIS S45C are all close cousins of the carbon steel we run as 1045 — but the acceptable substitution depends on your service condition, heat treatment route, and inspection callouts.

Send us the drawing and we'll come back with a production-ready recommendation: the grade we'd source, the MTC we can supply, and any property differences worth confirming with your engineering team before we cut metal.

Quality Control

Quality Assurance From Machining to Shipment

Quality control is embedded at every manufacturing node, not just applied at the shipping dock. We map every critical drawing tolerance to a verified metrology protocol before dispatch.

  • Full CMM Inspection & Reporting

Critical dimensions and GD&T features are inspected on calibrated CMMs, with inspection reports available upon request.

  • In-Process & Final Dimensional Checks

New production runs begin with first-article inspection, followed by dimensional checks during machining and final verification before shipment.

  • Material Traceability & Certification

Mill test certificates are available for customer-specified materials, with hardness verification performed after heat treatment when required.

  • Surface Finish Measurement

Surface roughness is measured using calibrated equipment to verify Ra, Rz, and other customer-specified finish requirements.

  • Pre-Shipment Inspection & Packaging

Parts are checked for quantity, packaging, and corrosion protection before shipment to ensure they arrive complete and ready for use.

About Us

From Rotating Equipment to Precision Machining

SCPM grew out of precision rotating equipment manufacturing, where part accuracy decided whether a machine ran or failed. Today we bring that same standard to OEM customers — machining steel, stainless steel, and ductile iron components for industrial projects where the spec is non-negotiable.
